Check In
Check-In
All riders must check-in, and personally sign-in, prior to starting the ride. All riders must have agreed to the ride waiver, either on-line while registering or by signing at the event. Riders will be given an event number making them eligible for support, food, and water at rest stops. In addition, if a rider has raised over $1,000, he/she will be able to pick up the Canary Challenge rider’s kit at check-in.
Pre-Event Check-In
Pre-event check-in will be available at the Canary Foundation offices in Palo Alto on Wednesday and Thursday before event day. We encourage all riders to avoid long event day queues by using the pre-event check-in.
Wednesday, September 26th: 12 PM – 3 PM Pre-event check-in for all rides
Thursday, September 27th: 3 PM – 6 PM Pre-event check-in for all rides
Event Day Check-In
Event day check-in will be available at the VMware Village. We encourage the long course riders to arrive early.
6:30 AM – 9 AM Check-in for all rides
We ask riders to begin their respective rides between 6am-9am. Most 100mi riders will begin early, near 6am, while the 50km riders are more likely to start later, closer to 9am.
To ensure rider safety, all participants are required to be off of the course by 5PM. A corresponding rolling cutoff time will be enforced at rest stops and along the route. Riders are encouraged to start early to make sure they have every opportunity to finish in time. If a rider is in danger of falling behind the rolling cutoff window, they will have the option of riding in with a SAG vehicle.
